Elaine should arrive in the large city of Kampala, Uganda at 6pm Wednesday night Mountain Time (3am Thursday morning Ugandan time). Depending on jet lag and wifi access we should get a blog post either Thursday or Friday. I am unsure when she arrives to her final destination in Eastern Uganda - Sororti - a town of 60,000.
Got some texts. Elaine arrived in Kampala, Uganda and expects to be in Soroti at 4am Mountain time (Thursday 1pm Ugandan time). I am hoping her hotel in Soroti will have wifi. She is now with her two other college teammates and plans to meet with her Uganda NGO counterpart early tomorrow morning.
Grandma Rosie-- Hi Elaine, hope your first day in Soroti was amazing. If possible, can you send a photo in front of the internet café, the hotel and on a bicycle. While researching Soroti on the internet, these are among a highlights listed to do in Soroti. They also mentioned an airstrip for private pilot lessons! How cool is that! Grandpa and I think of you every day. Do you have a mailing address?
Grandma Rosie - Hope you have an opportunity to go to Church tomorrow! It should be an amazing experience. How different and how much the same the faith is expressed all over the globe.
Do you have personal time to see the sights on the weekends?
